On March 21st 2012, I was asked to participate in a photo excursion with Abelardo Morell at The Huntinton Gardens. This is my Story.
Abelardo & his assistant casually strolled in... we then had some time to explore the Gardens and shoot while he set up his equipment.
Breaking the stillness of the glassy pond, as I strolled through the Chinese Garden. These Ducks captured my eye.
Just as I can see out of this port, someone on the outside is able to see in. It's surprising what light will let you capture sometimes.
Trapped on the ground by shadow. I spent some time admiring the light and shadows of a small Bamboo Forest.
After exploring, we helped Abelardo put his Camera Obscura Tent together. He has been traveling the world capturing amazing images with it.
It was a privilege to watch a master Photographer doing what he does best... and as I saw, always having fun doing it!
I captured this image through the viewfinder of an Argus Seventy-Five TLR, It provided a perfect frame in which to stop a moment in time.
